Equipment Maintenance
Important:
To prevent the salt from sea water deteriating the materials, all materials (e.g. bamboo, ropes, paddles, life jackets) must be washed with tap water after use. Bamboos: 1. Wash them with tap water after water sports. 2. Keep away from sand and dirt. 3. Maintain good air ventilation, place them in a dry shelter after use. 4. Don't put them on the floor, place them on a shelve. 5. Don't stack too high or place them under heavy things. 6. Mark the ends of the bamboos with different colors to differentiate the length and thickness. Ropes: 1. Wash the ropes after playing water sports. 2. No rope should be coiled when it is damp. 3. Ropes should be laid or hung in a dry shaded place, allow them to dry thoroughly before coiled. 4. Let the ropes dry naturally, don't dry the ropes with a heater, as the natural oil inside would run away and weaken the ropes eventually. 5. To avoid the ropes being affected by heat, humidity and ultraviolet light, ropes should be stored in a room which is cool and dry (humidity: 40% to 60%, temperature: 10 - 20 degree Celeius ) 6. Coil the ropes when it is dry. More details about coiling a rope click here. Life Jackets:
1. Wash and hang them after use. |
